Day 2: Shibuya

みなさん、こんにちは！

Hello everyone!

日本旅行の二日目、といっても日本に着いた日なんですが、渋谷にあるホテルに荷物を置いて外に出るとあたりはもう暗くなっていましたが、高層ビルの眩しい光が東京のグレーな風景を見事に彩っていました。

Day 2 of my Japan trip! ...was the day we landed. By the time we arrived at the hotel and left our luggage, the outside had gotten dark already, but the lights from skyscrapers in Tokyo were colouring the grey view of Tokyo, which was stunning.

定番の渋谷のスクランブル交差点で写真撮影、日本に始めてきたパートナーの家族はフライトの疲れも忘れて写真を取るのに夢中になっていました。

The typical thing to do in Shibuya is to take photos at the famous crossings. My partner's family was carried away taking photos (even though they were exhausted!) as it was their first time visiting Japan.

日本に到着してから何も食べていなかったので、みんなのお腹はペコペコ。日本に来たら食べてみたかったラーメンのリクエストを頂き、早速見つけたラーメン屋さんに入ることに。そこは横浜家系ラーメンで、結構ガッツリでどっしりした豚骨ラーメンだったんですが、みなさん大満足でした！お腹いっぱいになったので追加注文はしなかったんですが、日本のラーメン屋さんって、替え玉できるのすごくいいシステムだなと実感。安いですし。久しぶりに本物のガッツリとしたラーメンが食べられて嬉しかったです！

Since we hadn't eaten anything since we landed, we were all starving. Some of us requested to have Ramen as they had wanted to try it, so we entered one of the ramen restaurants we found on the way. It was Yokohama style ramen which was quite strong and oily pork one, but we were so happy with it. We were full so we didn't have a chance to order more, but usually there's this awesome option called Kaedama in ramen restaurants. Basically you can order noodle refills just in case you want more. And it's cheap. I was so happy as it had been a while since the last time I had real/authentic ramen!

ラーメン屋さんからの帰りも、またスクランブル交差点で撮影会！やっぱりあの夜景は初めて見るひとを魅了しますよね。ビルの光だけでなく、夜に人で賑わう活気の良さもまた◎ですね。

On the way home from the restaurant, we took lots of pictures again at the crossings! The night view does attract people who visit there for the first time. Not only lights from the tall buildings but the lively streets filled with people at night are great too!

疲れた私たちはホテルで爆睡でした・・・ZZZ
