No 1: Apple, Nectarine, Peach

みなさん、こんにちは！

今世界中が大変なことになってますがいかがお過ごしでしょうか。

私はコロナが少し落ち着いたタイミングで、１〜２ヶ月滞在するつもりで７月頭スペインに来ました。あっという間に１ヶ月たってしまったんですが、食べ物は美味しい、ビーチが家から徒歩３分、気候がマイルドなので、生活の質が爆上がりで充実した日々を送っています！

ここでせっかくなので、思い出に残っているものの中でいくつか絵にしてみたのでどうぞ見ていってください〜シリーズになってます〜

Hi everyone! Hope all is ok during this COVID madness. Since the situation got a bit better/calmer around the beginning of July, I came to Spain to stay for a month or two. A month has passed very quickly, but I am enjoying every single moment of the stay - the food is awesome, the beach is 3 min walk away, the weather is mild (super Mediterranean!) - my QOL cannot be improved more! I will draw some of them, to treasure the precious memories I'm making here for the next time I find myself in lockdown again and depressed...

1. Apple, Nectarine, Peach

先日、生まれてはじめてネクタリンという果物を食べました。生きていた世界が狭いということもあったかもですが、日本で売ってるの見たことなかったので、試しに食べてみました。

第一印象は一回り小さいりんごなんですが、見た目りんごより表面がマットだったので触ってみると初めて少しふわふわした毛が表面にあるのに気づきました。触った感じは桃。

早速切ってみると、若干ジューシーな感じ、りんごではなく桃寄り。

かじってみると、いやこれは味・食感ともにピーチとプラム（梅）の間かな。

甘みは桃やプラムほどなく、酸味が強めなところはまたりんごっぽい。でもりんごのシャキッとした感じはない。

ネクタリンの、この不思議な感じは食べてみないとわからないので機会があればぜひ。

Let me talk about nectarine - the fruit I had for the first time in my life. It might be because the large part of my entire life is based on experiences in a small world (Kumamoto, to be precise), but I had never seen nectarines sold in Japan ...So my instinct said why not try one.

My first impression was "a small apple", but it looked matte on the surface. As soon as I touched I felt the very short but fluffy "hair" on my hand - the texture is that of peach. When it's cut, it looks juicy inside. At this point, I was confident that this is more peach-ish than apple-ish.

Then I took a bite - the flavour & texture are somewhere in between peach and plum. But it's not as sweet as peach or plum. The sourness reminds me of apple, but the texture is not as crispy as an apple. Who could expect I would get so fascinated by nectarines.
